ODB's sophomore effort comes on hard like a pornstar. This ain't your grandma's ODB. A couple of notes on the album: the original title was The Black Man Is God, The White Man Is The Devil, a much better title.

The majority of the album is freestyle. None of his lyrics were written ahead of time. He would simply walk into the studio and rhyme for as long he wanted. This technique allows the multiple personalities of Dirty to shine. Some of his lyrics are hit or miss, but mostly hit. The frantically paced "I Can't Wait" is driven by the "T.J. Hooker" theme song. It culminates in him giving shout outs to the submarines and all the schoolteachers. For all you romantics out there, there is "Good Morning Heartache," a sweet-sounding ballad featuring Lil' Mo.

This is probably the most politically incorrect album of the 90's. That's what makes it so special. ODB discusses how "the cocaine will get your pussy numb" and "I don't have no trouble with you fuckin' me, but I have a problem with you not fuckin' me." Pure genius.

The music industry needs ODB -- somebody to rub people the wrong way. The man is dangerous, he doesn't fuck around. Just check out "You Don't Wanna Fuck With Me." He almost lit himself on fire at an MTV performance, and interrupted Shawn Colvin's acceptance speech at the Grammys. He's what rock and roll is all about: pissing off parents and authority figures all across the land. Let ODB into your heart and feel the love. Buy this. Not now, but right now!
