Jon Brion

See also: The Grays

Progeny of a musical family, Jon Brion has evolved into one of the most versatile pop musicians of his time, highly accomplished as a player, a producer, an arranger, a band member, a conductor, and the "house band" at Hollywood's Largo club on Friday nights. Brion is probably best-known for his production work and co-writing credits on albums by the likes of Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Rufus Wainwright, the Eels, and more.

But his work as a band member (the Grays) and as a solo artist comes equally well recommended.
